VITCAS Heat Resistant Sealant 1250 C

vitcas sealantVITCAS Heat Resistant Sealant is a ready mixed high temperature sealing and caulking paste for use in fixing and jointing as well as for fire protection.

Main uses:

•    sealing or fixing ceramics, glass and metal
•    installing vermiculite insulation boards
•    sealing other silica based materials

Application:

Make sure the area is clean and that all dirt, dust, rust and grease is removed. Cut off the top of the cartridge, screw on the nozzle and cut the nozzle to the required size. Apply using a cartridge gun and aim for a thin joint of 2 – 3mm. The material will set at room temperatures but the time will be reduced by applying heat, gradually increasing over a four hour period.

The natural colour is off-white to beige when dry but the sealant can be sanded and over painted.

VITCAS Fire Cement in Cartridge 310ml

vitcas cementVITCAS  Premium Black Fire Cement is a smooth paste which sets rock hard when exposed to the air. Main uses of Fire Cement:

• Sealing of visible metal to metal joints

• Sealing of visible joints between flue pipes and stoves in conjunction with stove rope
• Installation or repair of ranges, fireplaces, ovens and boilers
• Assembly of cast iron stove, cookers and ranges

Application:

Make sure the area is clean and that all dirt, dust, rust and grease is removed. Cut off the top of the cartridge, screw on the nozzle and cut the nozzle to the required size. Dampen the surface where the material is to be applied. Apply using a cartridge gun. Dineen Vermiculite

vermiculiteDineen Vermiculite, manufactured in Ireland by exfoliating (expanding by heating) raw vermiculite mineral; is a multi-use ultra lightweight product, golden brown in colour, completely natural, free from any additives, non hazardous and irritant free. The manufacturing process involves heating the natural ore at a rapidly rising and controlled rate. Water, combined within the vermiculite turns into steam; resulting in a 25 to 30 times expansion, creating air pockets within its structure, somewhat reminiscent of a concertina. The inter-laminar air spaces created produce excellent thermal insulation properties in the material.

The exfoliated vermiculite grade (5 – 15mm) may be used in Chimney Lining, Backing for Fire Backs, Flue Insulation, Roof and Floor insulation, High Temperature insulation (up to 1280 Degrees Centigrade), Acoustic Insulation, Lightweight Concrete, Loose Pour Aggregate, and Horticultural Applications.

Dineen Vermiculite is normally supplied in heavy duty plastic sacks holding a nominal 100 litres when packed.
